I removed my tank to run some wires. Now, fuel is constantly leaking from the quick disconnect.
Is there an O-ring which goes inside the disconnect? I've read somewhere that part 11323 may work. If it's the o ring, is there a general size? I'm wondering if I can get something for Home Depot to stop the fuel spill.
If anyone has any other ideas. I do not want to have the bike towed to the shop.
I'm coming up with 11273...same o-ring as the oil and trans drain plug. You sure you got it snapped on there correctly? It snaps on like an air tool. Kind of sticks sometimes, at least mine did.

Well.minutes after posting, the fuel stopped spilling. Well I feel like a horses *** for this thread. I suppose that I didn't have it snapped in all the way. Thanks Don, again
ok, I was figurin that's what it was, I've had mine off many times, never had an issue with leaks. Gotta pull that spring loaded collar down, seat it, then let it click.
Or the seal tore from dry install and will leak later ( I have seen it) Better off to disconnect again and look for tears. A drop of oil on coupler does wonders. Mike
Yeah the quick disconnect is a design win for the MoCo....keep going MoCo your not done yet!!
I'll tell you this, there's nothing like teh sweet feeling of hot gas gusting all over your face and into your glass of Gentlemen's Jack Whiskey. So the dilemma is, do I drink the whiskey or not.
Seriously though, I embarrassingly called my local shop about why my scoot was dripping so much fuel. The service center said it will drip alot if you don't have it in properly. Reminded me of the talk I had with my dad when I was 15.
Anyway, it's done. Tomorrow, if the dam rain ever stops coming down, I'll take it for a nice long spin...
