I have a 2002 Ultra with an OEM radio/cassette player. Does anyone know what other year radios are compatible with this year? Kinda like to use the stock intercom so didn't really want to go after market but would like a cd player. PLus some of the digits are inop on my display.

You have the Radio Sound unit (pre-HK). I believe it was 2003 that Radio Sound switched from Tape to CD and then HD replaced the unit with a HK in 2006. So I believe you can do a direct swap with anything up to 2005.

With some wire harness changes, some plug end changes and a bit of patience you can put the Harmon Kardon unit in to the older bikes. I am looking into doing just that with my 02, but, the I am addressing motor issues first. There are a number of threads on swapping to the HK unit with an older bike.
I put a HK in a 1999 electraglide, took the tape deck out, and the HK fit perfect. All the hand controls work. Only problem is AVC does not work. But everthing else is plug and play. I would swap to a 2 ohm speaker though. it will sound better than a 8ohm speaker on a 2ohm unit.

You can get the AVC to work if you tap into the correct wire for the speedo. Harleypingman did a nice write up and describes the wire etc... I hope to make everything work on my 02. We'll see.
