what changes would you have made on 124 kit... starting mind next week
I wouldn't change anything on my build.Mine started off as a crate 120r which had 30000 miles on it. It has great manners for touring and has excessive power for fun.
So I'm wondering at what point your SE 5.3 injectors are holding anything back, I thought they were only rated for up to 120 HP?
Depends. Im running 4.9 injectors on my 124". If you plan on running wide open all the time then the larger injectors are needed. I should be able to play a little at WOT but I dont do it often so since I already had the 4.9's many builders said I would be fine. Im sure the 5.3's would be ample.
Just get the S&S crank. Keep your old one for a shop paper holder.
There is nothing wrong with the SE 4 5/8 crank. The S&S crank is a press fit also. My SE flywheel has 33000 miles of hard use and it has not moved a bit.

Ditch the borezilla. It will make your ears ring for touring. The rest of the build looks good. Who is doing the head porting?
