Do you need any additional hardware or wiring to make this work or is it a direct replacement for the halogen light?

If you own a 2014-newer bike then there is an additional connector needed. It's a direct replacement for the halogen light, you reuse the stock headlight bracket (holds light onto mounting base) and stock trim piece (outside piece you see). I believe the HD website has instructions on what is needed or I can send you a scan of them.

Yeah I saw that on the HD site... the plug in the picture looks different from the plug on my halogen light... you don't need any wiring harness or module...

You know how these bikes work... nothing seems to be a "direct replacement" there's always another $200 in parts necessary to make anything work. lol

I didn't use any wiring harness or module. If you'd like, PM me your email address and I will take a picture tonight of the headlight plug for you.

Trace the harness from the back of your light. The two parts come together into a single waterproof connector that is clipped to a crossbar behind and above the headlight. THAT is where the HD adapter harness plugs in. With the harness, it is plug 'n play on the '14+

He has an '11 so this light should be plug n play since it was on my '10.

If I'm not mistaken, the light is covered by a 1 year warranty when was it purchased?
