Klock werks 9" windshield
I have for sale my tinted Klock Werks windshield. When mounted it measures 9" from the top of the shield to the top of the fairing trim strip. On the trike for about 3 months (will remove if sold). Condition is very good with some typical mounting marks which are hidden by the fairing once the shield is on the bike. Selling for $90.00 and you pay the shipping. PayPal okay.
Late breaking news: Just found the original box that this shield came in and it is marked: #2310-0274, 8.5" Dark Smoke, for 1996-2012 FLHT, FLHTC, FLHX Models.

I would think that this Klock Werks shield is not designed or intended for looking thru at line of sight. These shields are designed so that when mounted the top edge is below your direct line of sight. How much depends on how efficiently you want the wind deflection to be...or how cool you want to look. Most riders try to find a happy medium. I like medium height shields so this one was about 1" below my line of sight while driving. I never had any issue not being able to make something out in front of me due to visual distortion. These are really good shields and their design purpose is effective. I truly think you would like how they work especially if you are riding with one of the short Street Glide type shields. Huge difference in the amount of wind hitting your face. I've decided to try matching the color of my trike with one of the Memphis Shades tinted shields. Just looking to do something a little different that's all.
Thanks

I have owned several Clearview recurve shields also and you are absolutely correct in saying that they are great shields. Clearview incorporates a very mild bend at the top of their shield so as to just break-up the wind flow from hitting the rider directly in the face. Memphis Shades, on the other hand, has a recurve at the top edge their shield that is most exaggerated. It's funny about wind deflection but I have found that the Clearview shield and the Memphis Shades shields perform about the same. All these shields, in my opinion do one thing well...they allow you to run a shorter shield while having the benefit of managing wind like a larger shield. Notice I said "wind". If a good sized flying object comes at you just over the top edge of any of these recurve shields, chances are that you are going to get hit. They do little to deflect objects with any weight. Ask me how I know.
Thanks.
