i replaced my handle bars with a set of KW 2+2 Sweepers. While reassembling I pinched the wires on the right side. Fix that but now my engine light stays on. Everything works as it should, lights, start button, kill switch, turn signals. Only the engine light stays on. Is there a reset for it? I tried pulling the main fuse, no luck, tried removing the negative battery terminal and again no luck, light still on after starting. I even check the fan operation using the throttle and they function as they should...
need some help,
You can note any DTCs that are present, look them up on the internet and then clear them. It may be they will not come back so all will be good. If they (or others) do reappear then at least you will have some idea where to start looking for the trouble.
thanks so much, watched the video and checked for codes, yes there was some in ECM ( from the pinch wire I assume)
wrote the codes down Incase I needed the, cleared the codes and all is well, no light and bike runs fine.
again thanks my friend...
