Hello Riders!!
I just purchased a 2019 FLRT, picking up Friday from private party with 1200 miles on it.
Question is, Tire pressure recommended, front and rear, also shock setting? Will be riding home 350 miles, want to make sure on TP
Thank you all in advance
Many Blessings!!
For me the shock setting is at zero. I have only ridden mine for 1K miles and I am still experimenting but so far I am good with it.
Gratz on the purchase.
I have mine at 36 for the front per owners manual and have dropped rear to 22. I weigh about 160 and carry about 40 lbs in rear trunk and luggage on rack so I set my shock at 5 clicks from 0 per manual.I also have installed DK Custom lift kit with the stock shocks and it really smoothed out the smaller bumps and irregularities in the road surface. Manual gives you a starting point and then you have to find the setting thats best for you.
I run the front at 36 and rears at 23. Rear shock preload at 10. I used to run the rear shocks at 5 but prefer the firmer 10 setting for sporty riding in the twisties
Welcome to the 3 world! Tire pressure has been covered above and can't help you with the shocks. You will probably have to do some experimenting there to find want is best for you. If that is still not satisfactory, check out DK customs. Have a safe ride home!
Welcome to the world of trikes, many knowledgeable folks on this forum, there is a lot of good information in the owners manual. If it doesn't come with one, get one.
