Anyone know where i can purchase the windshield brackets/frame work ONLY!
I want to keep my hd windshield for the 15 freewheeler and puchase a different windshield from
https://www.clearviewshields.com/.
I bought a windscreen from Long Ride Shields. I removed the frame work from the HD windscreen and bolted it in place on the LRS. The holes lined up perfectly. That was the design.
I have checked ebay and other sites for past several months and everyone wants to sell windshield not hardware separately. Always asking premium price. Want to keep my original but dont want to put out the extra money for the Clearview then end up not happy with purchase
Did you read my other post? If you already have a stock H-D windscreen, you can reuse the framework. Just unbolt from the stock screen and reinstall on the new screen.
I read all responses. I want to retain my original windshield, "as is". I've learned by previous experiences that if your windshield has been in use for a long period of time, when the mounting hardware is loosened there is a high probability of putting stress fractures in the surrounding area. I would then need to buy another windshield from harley, even knowing they are cheap in price 😆, i dont want added expenses

After reading your post a few days ago I did a search for brackets as I am also planning to do the same as you.
I found the brackets on ebay. I then searched for a used Road King set up for cheap. I ended up buying a very nice
twenty in. shield like new complete with brackets off of a 2018 RK for 125.00. I found quite a few on Facebook and
most were fairly local. Only difference with brackets were the spring clips on the RK brackets and you can remove them
if you like.
Good deal. I just got lazy and haven't checked for awhile! NE Pa weather, covid keeping things shut down...., etc ,etc ,waa, waa. ,waa!
Might be a good time to check if guys are working on the bikes, trikes!
Thanks.
Made out really well on an eBay purchase. Brackets only for $50 and free shipping. Now the decision of Clearview tint, height and width. Definitely with vents. Leaning towards light tint cuz I like to see immediately in front of trike at night doing lots of back road riding.
