Default TriGlide Parking Brakes

Has anyone considered adding a parking brake light indicator on 2013 TriGlide. There were a few times I forget that I had the parking brake engaged and took off. I been lucky that I only went a couple of feet.

Heck I took the parking brake assembly off my 13.
keep a small ball bungie in the windshield bag and just a single wrap around the handlebars and brake handle is I ever need it. So far only used it 3 times and didn't need it the 3rd time.

If you sit the brake really tight you wont have to worry about that!

However, nothing is idiot proof
Earlier this year I stopped to take off some extra outer leather gear and when I kicked the park brake pedal off of my '18 TG it didn't fully release I was in 4th gear before I noticed my indicator light was on!

I took mine off my 2013 and if I need an E brake I have a Velcro strap I leave on my handle bar to put around the front brake handle.

Mine was worthless on my ‘12. It wouldn’t stay adjusted, enough to keep the bike from rolling on the flat, after a couple 100 miles. So, I just unadjusted it, always parked in gear. And if I needed it bungeed the hand brake lever. There was a lot I loved about my TriGlide, but the Parking Brake, as well as the reverse were pathetic.

On my 2011 I rarely used it...maybe a dozen times when I first got it. It was a hassle and never got used after that. I kept a velcro strap for the front brake, but really never used that either.

If you are determined to keep using it, you could use one of those coiled cables that folks use with their disc locks. Hook one end to the e-brake lever and the other to your handlebars. That way you will never forget to release it. That will work better than a light on the dash.
