Dealer didn't know.... surprise? I had a WHIM module installed on my 2020 Tri Glide, but the operation is spotty. I have the HD sena headsets. and they dont seem to be functioning with the radio. I was told by some other members that a second antenna is needed. Supposedly there is a second cable run to the back of the trike for an additional ant enna. Can any one verify this for me. Also on this topic the dealer said antennas are back ordered. Anyone have a parts list that will help me build my own antenna?
The whim connects to the Boom gts by cable, and to your headset by Bluetooth. Has nothing to do with source (radio, or XM or phone app or music on a thumb drive).
FM Radio reception would neither improve nor degrade based on installation of a whim unless an antenna cable was damaged.
I have never found fm radio reception to be very good on any of my Harleys dating back to 2007.
No Antenna required. Your problem is elsewhere. Did the Dlr “flash” your bike for the WHIM?
Is your headset audio poor on all sources, AM,FM,XM,Phone? Or just one source?
Are your headsets paired properly and set up within the Boom?

Thanks, will work through your suggestion. Going to the dealer today to bitch about the cost of install (695)
