Default 2018 or 2019 - - Is it worth it?

I have a chance to pickup a 2018 TriGlide with only 1k miles for a good price. Should I hold out for a 2019 or is the 2018 a great option?

The 2018 is a great trike but the 2019 is even better. I had a 2018 for 2 years and 30k miles which I traded for a 2020. Here's why:

In 2019 H-D introduced several improvements to the trike:

114" motor vs 107" - it has a good bit more torque
Boom!Box GTS - quicker initilization and included CarPlay and AndroidAuto
ABS brakes
Traction control

So for those reasons (and only those reasons) I think a 2019 or later is a better choice but price may be (and oftentimes is) the final determinant.

Default Thank you, Ultrafxr

I was thinking to much about the $$$ and not the “bang for the $$$”. I’ve never ridden the 2019+ models; so, I didn’t have a basis for comparison.

I’m currently riding a 2020 CanAm Spyder RT, and just returned from a 3,200 mi round trip to Deadwood, SD on it. The CanAm is a great machine, but I missed the “feel” of a motorcycle, on the trip.

I hear you. When I 'triked up' I only considered Harley as I am a long time Harley rider / enthusiast. I'm sure the CanAm is a good machine but I just cannot get over the look most especially the two wheels up front. On a Harly trike you definitely do get that 'motorcycle feeling.' The only real difference imo is the steer vs lean in curves but that becomes second nature very quickly and I really do not miss the lean at all. Riding the twisties on my TG is a hoot.

Also 2019 was the first year of the new shocks which are a significant improvement over the old air ride shocks

Hi I apologise for using the following but I traded my 2018 for a 2020 and the below is more than true, much better motor, the brakes actually stop the bike on the previous model you have to be very careful with just using the front brake, not like a motorcycle because it will lockup. I am not sure that CarPlay is standard but here in UK but we get DAB Digital Audio Broadcasting which is very useful. Traction conrol fine.
