Default Harley Heated Seat

Hey Guys! My wife and I love hitting the road, and with winter rolling in, I’m eyeing the Harley Sundowner Heated Seat. I just got one issue—the price is a bit steep. Has anyone here actually used one? You get what you pay for, so I'm all in if it’s worth it. Appreciate any thoughts.

Have you thought about a sheepskin? I can vouch for it keeping your behind warm in the cold weather.
https://www.alaskaleather.com is the place I got mine. Good luck on whatever you choose.

I got spoiled to having a heated seat (and grips) on my CVO Ultra and being that I bought my '18 Tri-Glide before H-D offered a CVO option for the Tri-Glide I sent my OEM seat to MCC for "rebuilding" and had them do a "tailbone relief" mod along with adding memory foam and heat for both the rider and passenger seats
I then had heated grips installed when I changed the OEM handlebars to Heli-bars, in addition to mounting a power supply plug into my left side mid-frame heat deflector to supply power for my heated jacket and gloves.

Years prior to having "heat" on my bikes, I invested in a pair of full "overall" leather pants for cool riding, especially for longer rides and they work much better than keeping "everything" much warmer than leather chaps.
The one shortcoming with the heavier, leather pants is that they are heavy and use both a belt and a pair of H-D suspenders.
They work great and are "easy-on, easy off" and they're much cheaper than a new or even modified seat.

I use my heated seat all the time here in Missouri where temps always seem to climb or drop without much notice.

Coupla of things - The Sundowner had a gap between the pan and the frame and the seat would flex. I went with the Hammock and it fits great and is really nice but abet its expensive.
