Hey Guys! My wife and I love hitting the road, and with winter rolling in, Im eyeing the Harley Sundowner Heated Seat. I just got one issuethe price is a bit steep. Has anyone here actually used one? You get what you pay for, so I'm all in if its worth it. Appreciate any thoughts!
My wife absolutely loves our heated hammock seat. I don’t use the heat unless I’m riding in the 30’s or lower but she has to have it on when the chill is in the air.
I don't have a Harley Sundowner heated seat, but I do have a Mustang standard touring seat with heat (#79646). I can tell you that having a heated seat is awesome. Yes, it's a luxury feature, but it's nice to have on those early morning chilly rides. I'm actually surprised at how hot it actually gets. There are two settings (high/low) and the high setting is HOT.
Don't forget to install heated grips while you're at it.
We have a cvo heated hammock that I bought used. We both love it. I ride into the low 40s and will run it in low just to take the edge off. My wife gets cold really easily and she'll sometimes leave it on low in the 50s or even low 60s if she's not feeling well.
I don't know that I'd pay the almost $2k it costs to get a new one up here but for what I paid used the seat is amazing
I have the heated Hammock seat, it is also pricy. I use heated gear when its cold but the heated seat is great when its cool and you just want to take the edge off. Women really seem to enjoy it even in the 50s. A buddy of mine got one because he got tired of his wife saying she wanted to ride with me, lol
It would take all your heated gear here this morning ...30° ... Brrrrrr
It can be worse. When I started this morning, it was 37 and went up to 54 in the afternoon. Didnt need my heated gear, just some base layers and fleece with a leather jacket. Ill break out the heated gear when the high is in the 30s or 40s.
