the problem is mate that although people say it’s ok, nobody or very few have added performance i.e. stage 3 with bigger heads to a trike. That’s the reason I’ve held back. I’d love a S&S kit but the worry is the diff not being able to take the extra power.

Well, I guess I am one of the few. Mines a 14 Rushmore trike so it stated as a 103. Did the 110 drop on barrels and had the heads worked to have about 10:1 cr. Ran se585 cams and an Se58 tb. I think it dyno'd around 112/106. Ran it a couple of years and then went to 117, again had the heads worked this time around 10.5:1. Other components the same. Did not have it dyno'd but I'd guess 120/115 based on previous numbers. No heat or engine issues although I do hate the comp and tranny.

What do you hate about the transmission, Rich?

Clint, for the last few years I have been dealing with what I thought was backlash from the comp. I have actually run the SE unit, 2 Baker's since 1 galled and now the Darkhorse. None cured it. This fall the shop got it up on blocks and ran it and felt it's play in the tranny. Will find out this spring as I got a freshly restored DD7 from Baker for a good deal. Everyone says they are smooth as butter.....we will see.
