I want to pick up an enclosed trailer, both for taking it to the shop or other places and for storage of the TG.
Anyone have experience with a 6X10 or 6X12 enclosed? Will the TG fit inside a 6 foot enclosed?
I will pulling it with a V6 motor, so a 7 X14 or similar is going to be to big and heavey...
Wondering about size, not brands...I would love to have an aluminum but they are expensive....
I believe you would have about 8 inches on either side, my two concerns would be not hitting the ramp cables and not having much space to get the tie downs in place. I have a 7x12 single axle enclosed and I dont think the 6x12 would weigh that much less.
I have used a 6x12 with no issues. My buddies trailer had the roll in front wheel chock that cups the front wheel in place. 2 tie down straps hooked to the trailer hitch in the back and down the road I went.
If your going to get a trailer just to haul your trike I would suggest getting one with a side entry door. Makes it easier to get out of the trailer after you have the trike in the trailer
Just got back from a 3000 mile trip. Trailer is a 7x14 v-nose w/side door. Pulled it with a Dodge Nitro that has a 3.7 v6. Ran like a clock out and back. Looked at 6' wides, but did not like the close quarters.

Thanks all
I've got a 6x12 and the clear opening is 5'-4". Our trike is 4'-6.5" wide.
This leaves you around 5" on either side.....tight but can be done. I have put rags on the frames just in case i am numbing it sometime.
I have a 7X14 after having a 6X12.I would never go back.My TG loads fine with E-track and HF wheel chock. We use it to go south every fall and it acts as a nice garage for 6 months. My trailer is all aluminum, yes all.It weighs about 1800# w/tandem radials w/brakes..I have 30amp. service a double bed that tips out the side like a pop-up.Rv door which means it has a screen door and window. It's from Nash Trailer MI. check it out.
The 6X12 was ok but tight, once you have more room it would be hard to go back.
