Bad front wheel bearing part3
Shenzhen HRS Bearing Co., Ltd

They are more than adequate for what they are being used for in these bikes if installed and cared for properly. Don't know why you and other's are having so many problem's.
IMO, these bearing's should last 100K or more.

I checked with several Bearing suppliers, plus an old friend of mine at American Bearing co. we bought Bearing's from before I retired from Dupont. I even checked with a popular supplier from HDforum's, (ALLBEARINGS) and was told China. I have the bearing that came out of my wife's 2012 Triglide front wheel and it doesn't have made in India on it, just the number, HD9276A HRS
These are single row deep groove sealed ball bearings. The Dynamic load rating is close to 2500 lbs each bearing. They are more than adequate for what they are being used for in these bikes if installed and cared for properly. Don't know why you and other's are having so many problem's.

I have my worn out bearing in front of me and it clearly has DK imprinted on the seal which DK bearings are made in India!!!
Read this post from 2010 here on HD Forums and get your facts correct!!! https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...re-2010-a.html
I have ridden 200 miles so far with no issues and I no longer have that bearing howl when turning right
Heres some info on Amazon about these bearings Im using >> http://www.amazon.com/Timken-W205PP-.../dp/B006KSMED2 And these bearing are American made
Maybe you should get your facts straight! Timken Bearings are made in china now also!!!!
As for taking care of the bearings in these Touring bikes. I think harley could have put a cover over the outside of the seals to protect them from flying debris. How do you account for thousands like myself that hasn't had any bearing problems?? I put 14K on an 09 EGC without one single problem. Now I've got over 22K on my 2010 RK without a single bearing problem. My wife put over 20K on her 2010 SG Trike, no problems! She has 7K on her 2012 Triglide. I just put chrome wheels on it. when I pulled the bearings out of her stock rim, the bearings felt like new
Obviously you haven't done enough research. Here's a link from Timken's own product page that I researched........... http://catalog.timken.com/WebProject...Code=tmk09flx#
Read the 6th bullet point!!!! If additional grease isnt needed why did we re-grease the older style tapered bearing that were installed with a outer seal and had to re-grease them each time we changed tires???
I also attached a nice picture for you to look at and read whats printed on the box!!! Made in the USA!!!
Additionally if you did enough research you would find a number of Forums beside this one with posting about bearing failures. Also if it wasnt such a issue why would Harley change a part that supposedly doesnt have a issue??????
I will get a good laugh when your current 20k mile bearings fail

I still would like to know how I would take care of them so that they wouldn't fail. There are too many post now with bearing failures. How do you account for that?? Operator failure?? I don't think so.
I put 32,000 miles on my 06 Ultra in 2 years without any bearing failures but yet had bearing failures on my Trike in 21,000. I really think you don't have a clue what you are talking about. Could be wrong but doubt it.
