What year is your TG? It happened on my 09 TG while I was pulling into a driveway at 10-12 MPH and almost threw me through the windshield. The only way I stopped it was to hit the kill switch. I traded it for an 09 Deluxe the next morning. Come to find out the reverse module was cracked and water got into it and shorted it out.
Ended up trading the Deluxe for a XXX in 2011. I haven't had it happen to my XXX yet because they relocated the reverse module to the side panel. At least I asume that's why it hasn't happened.

Mine's a 2012. Got about 1500 miles at this point.
It has happen to me. Backing up a incline and stopping, it will lock in reverse. Rock it back and forth to get it to disengage. If you let the clutch out you will take the reverse out. Experience speaking!
Happened once to me the first day I had the Trike out on the road. Only had thirty five miles on the trike. The dealer said they found a metal bur on the Rev motor. Never had the problem since then.
Good Luck
