Dont come on as much as I used to......see the Wing in your pic.....you get rid of your TriGlide? Searched around did see any mention of it.
As my dad said, I got rid of the Triglide and bought a Goldwing to see how I liked that. I plan on triking it sometime down the road once I put some miles on it. So far I like it, its quiet, nice smooth power and most of all its cool. I can sit in a traffic jam till the cows come home and it doesn't roast me. The Triglide was a lot of fun, but it wasn't good for my Wife's hearing. She is deaf in her left ear and very sensitive to noise in her right. The wind buffeting she was taking in the back seat wasn't doing her any good.
I rented a 2012 GL1800 for 2 days to see what we both thought. At one point I was cruising along at 80 mph down the freeway to see what she thought, when I slowed down and ask she said she loved the fact she could hear the radio which was something she couldn't do on the Triglide, even with it turned up all the way.
When I want my Harley fix I just roll out the 06 Ultra go for a ride.
Guys, I'm a Harley guy...through and through, but....as for a trike the GW is about the best platform...and I've owned three GW trikes and one TG....also on my 35th Harley 2 wheeler...I have my street glide for the "me" bike, but just picked up a 2007 GW trike with a California SideCar trike kit....it only had 1112 miles on the bike...couldn't pass it up....got it for the wife, she loves driving it...cooler, more power, smooth...yes the TG is a better looking trike, chrome and the motor...but......that'll only go so far...
Not knocking anyones TG...beautiful machines....I may own another one just for me...never say never.....
Nice looking wing,i'm thinking along that line too.Get rid of the H-D while it's still running and worth something
Looking at what the new Triglides are selling for now I'm glad I made the move when I did. I sent my 2010 down the road for not much less than the cost of a new 13, granted I had quite a few extras with it but then they don't do squat for the value unless you find a buyer who is willing to pay that extra and has money. If you have a buyer who is financing a large amount of the purchase they may have problems when the bank looks at book vs what the buyer is paying for it.
I had a lot of fun with the Triglide, it just didn't fit my style of riding or my wifes. So far I'm liking the Wing for what it is and I'm pretty sure I'll love it as a trike also. It has lots of power, is cooler and best of all I don't sweat it when I'm in construction because its liquid cooled. I only wish Honda would produce a trike of their own on the GW platform, this would give HD a run for their money and cause them to improve their offering.
