I appreciate the input you guys. I guess I fill a little better about pulling a trailer even without the extra breaks after seeing the longevity your getting on your Tri pads . I would never have thought 27000 miles even with out pulling a trailer. Maybe I will rethink paying the extra money for the electric brakes.
Yeah, I read a lot on them wearing out quickly, so I purchased some Lyndall pads 15k miles ago...they're still sitting on the shelf.
I have an '11 and also don't have any stopping problems that I have read about. I can lock up front & rear easily on dry clean asphalt.
I have a HF 40"x48" trailer with a roof top cargo bag that fits perfectly inside the bed of the trailer. Obviously the higher it is the more wind resistants you will feel. This bag gives you an option to make it a little lower in height and that how its setup. Made a internal frame out of 1/2" pvc to keep its shape and make it easier to open and close. The bag and frame may weight 10-12lbs. I took this on a road trip with my wheelchair and about 50lbs extra pounds. Didnt even feel it behind me
There are ways and trailer options to make yourself a trailer or purchase a trailer for your needs without it being overly bulky and heavy towing
Here is a photo of our Ultra with Bushtec Trailer. I am so sorry we sold the bike and trailer as a pair. I think a Black Bushtec is in our future for the Tri-Glide.......
There are definitely alot of trailer options out there. Those are nice looking glass trailers Casper and Bootshd. Iv'e read many good things about Bushtek. I have seen alot of trailer builds using the HF trailer such as FLTR2008trike used, on one of the motorcycle trailering forums. Those guys are picking up the basic trailer for less than $200. If I could have found a cheap platform from which to build from I would have gone that route. I am busy building a house for my daughter so I committed and ordered a trailer for more than I should have spent. I am sure I will get over it after I get it and start enjoying it.

Good looking trike. Seen your sig pic many times, but the one with the trailer gives a different perspective. Really like all the black work you have done on it!
