Smile Easy steering

I read that it is possible to purchase/modify something on the trike to make the steering easier. I have been unable to find the thread where this information was mentioned. The member who post it has the screen name of "mackattack".
Can someone give me some information about this subject?

Thanks- John

Default easy steer

when you add the rear end lift kit some people say that they steer a little easier, I put this kit in mine and it's not a night & day difference but it does stop the pipes from dragging and makes it sit level.

You can have a rake kit installed, the higher the degree of rake the easier it will steer. A large rake can also make it twitchy feeling until you get used to it.

Ditto.....definitely not a night and day difference in steering, but the overall ride experience is better.

The OP seems to have a 14 TG. I wouldn't mess with the rake Mike.

I think the answers would be the TG lift kit and pull back handlebars not to mention a backrest.

The lift kit does make a difference in steering. Like others have said it is not night and day but does help some. I was new to trikes and the lift kit made the learning curve much shorter for me. I did notice a difference but being a new Trike rider everything was new.

Hey John-

No doubt the Lift Kit or the Comfort Lift Kit will make steering a bit easier, and a more comfy ride too. Link to Lift Kits HERE

One of the first things I did was change out my handlebars. Could not stand how far forward they were...and I don't have short arms. However, I do tend to slouch a bit against the backrest.

I spent a bit of time looking, and in the end I just added about 7" of length to the stock handlebars. This put the grips much closer to me, and also ended up making the grips wider apart. This gave me more leverage on the grips for less effort in turning the wheel.
