What would you guys say if I told you there would be a brand new cam on the market that will take a stage I 103 bike to 100 TQ starting at 1500 RPM and holding it past 5000 RPM's?
Well... I have a contact that has been working on a new cam design for a while now. The objective was to create a Stage I cam that would hit 100 TQ at 2000 and hold it to 5000. Well the last tweak showed 100 at 1500 RPM and it was still over 100 TQ through to 5100.
I saw a chart that proved this and in a 110 took the TQ to a 117 high. I'm waiting on a new 103 chart.
I pre ordered this cam and will install and tune it. I will then do a write up and put it in the trike area. This beast of a bottom end cam will be great for a TG and will be huge for any other bike that wants a nice 100+ TQ curve through the normal RPM range.
Sorry but I've been sworn to secrecy at this time but if any of you guys are looking to add the perfect cam to your trike... hang on for a bit.
I'll do the test and tune first before I open the doors. If it works like the Dyno sheet says it does then you won't be able to shut me up about it. Just for grins I sent the sheet to Slou. He can verify what I am saying is what he is seeing.
I know... I'm such a tease but I'm telling ya to save your XMas money. Mine should be here by mid Jan.
