Is this normal?
I have a 2006 Ultra Classic with a CSC trike kit that I recently did a cam swap on. I went with the S&S 551 easy start cam kit with the cam chest, oil pump, adjustable push rods and hydraulic chain tensioners. I generally do all my own work on all my bikes and vehicles but I also end up questioning whether I did it right. So I'll describe what I have going on so you all can make comments and suggestions. I have about 500 miles since I installed it have a couple questions for everyone. I'm running synthetic Lucas 20w50 oil. My oil pressure is steady at 30psi at all highways speeds and only dips slightly from that at idle. I understand that the EZ start cam will make a knock sound when the engine is shut off and I hear what seems like a much slighter, similar sound at idle and don't know if this is normal or something to worry about. The engine pulls well, revs much more freely that stock (it also seemed slow to rev when stock) but without a load and sitting still, there is a noticeable miss at 3k rpm. I don't notice the miss on the highway and at 70 to 75mph, I'm at 3krpm the entire time. I put in new spark plugs, and recently changed the oil and didn't see any metal debris on the drain plug. I'm thinking I may need to revisit the push rod adjustment. When I installed the cams and tried to use the rear wheels to rotate the engine, for some unknown reason rotating the rear wheels did not turn the engine much at all so I had to use the starter to find the base of the cam and am not completely confident in my work there so I'm thinking that may have some connection to the miss. Any comments are welcome.

I have EZ start 585s in my bike - the only thing I can say about noise at idle, is if my idle gets too low (I am carbed so it happens at start up once in a while), I can hear the little spring loaded things start to activate. It is not a 'slight noise' at all.
