I don't get the question. Did this engine just get built/rebuilt? Otherwise it was broke in before it went on the showroom floor.
it takes 20 to 30 miles tops of proper break in to seat rings.
Some say take it easy for 500 miles
Again, not sure what you're looking for.

Sorry for the confusion. I know like when i buy a new pick up, i try to put about 15 to 20k miles on it and change oil 4 or 5 times before i get a lead foot.

The bike had 10,500 miles on it when i got it so it sounds like it should be broke in if 500 is the standard for break in time.

That motor was broke in a long time ago....whether it was done properly, well, that's an entirely different question. Change the engine oil every 5,000 miles, do all three holes every 10,000 miles and it should last a good long time.

Yeah, breakin was done loonggg ago. No reason to baby those pickups for 20,000 miles either. They're most likely broke in before you ever get behind the wheel as well. If it makes you feel better, maybe 500 to 1,000 miles at best. But babying any engine during break in isn't necessarily a good thing either. Vary rpms both accelerate and decelerate.

Drive it like you’re gonna drive it.

also no need to baby your pickups for 15k miles.

Lol, i can assure you i treat my trucks like a truck and have had great luck in longevity. The first thing i do is drive the truck on a 2 track road in my deer hunting area where mesquite overhangs. Nothing like the sound of nails on the chalkboard on the side of a new pickup. It makes you forget about being afraid to take it off road lol
