Yes, it is pretty easy to install.
Nice, thought but my 07 has a similar feature. Bike won't run without the fob. Still need key to lock the steering wheel. Thieves don't need to start bike to steal it, but if the wheel is locked it would slow them down. But, this is a good product for those people who do not have a key fob device.
