V-ROD shift linkage
Where can I get HD aftermarket gearshift link for the 2009 V-ROD. The link says "V-ROD" on it, I see the linkage in the cataloge but the store parts reps says the part is obsolete and cant be ordered. I really need to replace the OEM linkage on the bike. Any help? Thanks.

Any parts guy worth his salt would have done a national search and if some dealers show it in inventory have them ship it. H-D has a locating system buy just inputting the part number and within moments prints out a list.
My dealer has done that many times over the years. I have a small collection of older bikes. Just last month he got me a engine guard for a Heritage (97 to 03) that adapts the FX Springer with a special bracket. The guard was still in production but the adapter was obsolete. He found five dealers that showed in inventory, contacted them and got the bracket to me in 4 days.
And no he wouldn't accept the $20 tip I tried to give him. He said he was just doing his job.
