ya need to check out macus walz hardcore customs out of Hockenheim or munich germany. some of his bikes are in the vrod vein of things. only more radical.

I agree with a lot of what's been said...my V-Rod was about the most fun I've ever had on a Harley. Because they get a lot of shade thrown their way, the value proposition is insane on them.

Best kept secret in the industry. What a shame all the "old school", hardazzes never gave it a second look. To busy conforming.

I owned a 07 V-Rod. The former owner installed SE heads, cam, 2/1 exhaust along with Legend air ride.
I also installed forward controls, batwing fairing and modified handlebars. Sold several years ago. Nice bike to ride around town.

Actually the changes in the transmission wasn't done until the 2005 models,
which was a 4/5 shift fork update along with the Shifter Actuator and spring assy change.
The coolant bottle update was also done in 2005.

did you ever get the 03? I am looking at an 03 with 4K miles. I have an 08 FLHP and it is just blazing hot on my legs.

i have not. still lookin. all stealerships want an astronomical price , really proud of them. but, if ya buy one they might not service them.
