Damn codes
Ok, I have an 05 v rod that I replaced the key ignition. Bike hasn’t ran since. I understand components are married and upon removing one the bikes components need remarried”? I pulled the codes (b 1006 b1007 u1255) off the speedometer in the diag. Also pn 67392 o.i.c Upon realizing this and running around crazy I also see no resp. In the P and S columns. I’m considering pulling every single hair out$&@“ this bike ran great and has been down weeks- I need help or a bigger hammer” somebody help me out here plz?

B1006 Historic Accessory line over-voltage
B1007 Current Ignition Line over-voltage
U1255 Current missing response from tssm or IM
NoResp - Your on off switch is in the off position. Turn it on before pulling codes.

Sounds like you screwed the wiring somehow. Check your work. You will need a Electrical Diagnostic manual for your year bike to shoot the problem it you can't find your error.

Historic means it happened sometime in the past but is not happening just now.
Current means it is happening right now.
tssm = Turn signal and security module
IM means Instrument module.

Very much appreciated” I have no manual so I’m guesstimating. Only way I can get it to start is to wrench jump the terminals on the starter. I know it’s unhealthy but I’m desperate to ride again. The bike will start briefly then done. I’m guessing the security module is shutting off the gas before hitting the throttle body to keep the motor running?? In that case I believe wiring in the start/ run switch is faulty

What did you do beside replacing the ignition switch? There are only 3 wires attached to it. Possible wires swapped or chafed and shorting somehow.
What happens when you turn the switch to accessory. WOW test should be performed.

According to my 2003 manual,
Terminal 1 is Red/Grey wire and goes to accessory fuse
Terminal 2 (Center terminal) is Red and goes to Maxi Fuse,Security fuse, Battery Fuse and ECM Fuse
Terminal 3 is Red/Black goes to starter relay, Light Fuse and Ignition Fuse.
