Default 2003 Suspension Question

New here. I'm above avg height and weigh 250 lbs. I typically ride with my suspension on 2 setting. When and if I ride 2up which direction am I supposed to go? Sorry if question seems naive. If in fact I do ride 2up our combined weight is in the range of 400lbs.settings available are 1-5 and I have no manuals to go by. Was hoping you experienced folks could help a dude out. Thanks in advance. Also it appears it still may be the stock suspension.

You would want to turn the shocke "up" as in stiffen or raise the rear suspension for the added weight. No, I am not 100% sure which actual direction you would turn the shocks though, I amn curious myself... I think you can see the spring coils getting closer or tighter if you will when you turn them though. should be able to see the gap increase between the rear fender and tire also.

Alright then. I figured it may be a trial and error thing. We've tried once so far this season, and was fine until we bottomed out haha. Obviously hurt her more than me. Haha.

yeah and there is no indicator that I know of..so One would think you could possibly have the shocks ajusted unevenly,I played around with mine on my Dyna. Sportster is neat because you can see the setting, its three different levels. I would think Dyna is the same maybe you have to look under the cover to see where its set

Mine is currently on on setting 2. It has 1-5. I've just never looked to see which way (up or down) it goes. I'm going to adjust later today if not tomorrow and see. I'm going to put my windshield back on today first. These damned bugs are relentless this year. I like riding without that better but enough is enough.

The final setting of 5 was the winner. That being said. Thinking next year I'll upgrade suspension.
