Default Am I a pvssy??

I rented a v rod for the weekend from a LD here, and have put a little over 250 miles on it since saturday afternoon. Yesterday I rode it about 8 hours/150 miles (including through a thunderstorm that I did not enjoy), and about 100 miles today. My taiilbone is killing me! My neck is kind of sore too from the handlebars and leaning toward them. Is it just me and my lack of riding time, or is this a common complaint about the stock seat?

This is a fun/lighthearted thread, so give it to me!

ARE YOU SERIOUS??

OK, One. If you have to ask, YES, you are a puss. Two, go ride an air cooled piece of antiquated history and let us new guys ride the future of H-D and you can sit back on the porch with Rod envy and bitch about them there new fangled Harley's...

BTW... All stock seats suck IMHO...

I have about 6500 on the stock seat and 4500 on a Badlander, the smaller seats just need to be broke in. Most people puss out and change them before that happens. It does take a while though.

No offense but you said it, suck it up.

no offense taken! i think it is funny that i am all worn out after two days of riding.

do they make bars that stretch back further? that may help a lot.

It's like handball. It's not about a softer ball, it's about breaking in your hands. Ride through the pain and kill off those butt nerves.

You can always change just about anything, including handlebars and pegs to give more pull-back or stretch. What year bike are you looking at? H-D does make pull-back bars which would allow you to sit more uprightor you can always go with some aftermarket for a different look/feel.

I hate to say it my wife and I rode up to Erie PA and put about 250 miles on my 07 RKC, no problem there but I would never dream of riding my 07 Night Rod Special to Erie. My butt and back would be way to sore. I guess I'am a puss also!

My NRS has like drag bars on it stock, the day after I drove it home I ordered the bars that come on the stook Vrods. Hey good luck with what ever you buy, you are right to do your homework.
