eazy got into a argument on the board with several people over the aftermarket gas tank and it became quite interesting.
And that is my point. I didn't fall in and believe the crap that someone was trying to shovel. I didn't agree with the "click" so my posts got deleted (even those without any arguement) and rather than outright ban me my IP was blocked and nothing was said, EVER. That is a pretty chickensh*t way of handling things. When the administration thought I was out of line here I was allowed to be heard and make my case---to explain those things that "get lost". There I was allowed no such opportunity, just a block of the IP without a single comment made. That's why I say "tote the line" cause if you don't, AS THEY SEE IT, you'll get no opportunity to hear or be heard. Like the starter said, "A bunch of a**holes"
And if I have to be told how I need to think I also need a bullet in my head.
Being as the V Rod is the 1st Harley I have owned and that site has more info on this bike than any other my participation here has been as alurker. I've seen posts deleted there & I've seen some pretty heated arguments & the tank was one of them. I've seen guys come in there with some stupid comments about performance that they can pull from a stock V Rod and they've been bashed. I still have yet to see 1 own up to their claim. If they do I'll be surprised if the forum guys don't admit they were wrong. The fact is a forum isn't a Democracy. They don't have to accept anyone or everyone. Basically it's there ball and if they want to take it and go home they can.
1130cc is a great forum. I have a v-rod and a 2006 Road King and 1130cc has been very helpfull just like this forum has been great helping me out about ideas I have on my KING. Both sites are great in my opinion.
Whatever -you are entitled to your opinion, but I signed on here over a month ago, left some posts, and came back like two weeks later and there were no comments, this site is WAY too Boring for my taste. At least at the 1130cc.com, things move fast, people exchange ideas and we LAUGH a hell of alot. I really had no intention of checking back here because I figured it would be just as BORING as the last time I checked a month ago- this is probably the most action you guys have had in a while and its because you are bashing another site - go figure.
Eazy- I won't argue with your criticisms of that forum- I have had my run ins with the administrators, gotta play nice is all- its still a great forum. Just gotta not **** them off is all. They can do what they want whether we agree or not.
You're all singing about how informative they are but when I get home and have time to type I'll gladly share more than I have time to share here. It is their forum, they can do what they want. They are just not as informative as you all would like to believe.
and its because you are bashing another site - go figure.
There is where you're wrong violet, the majority of the posts here stick up for that forum. This is a discussion about the experiences we all have had, or not had, at another place. It's the same as if I were to relate my experiences with a Kawasaki. No one is "bashing" anyone or anything.
"What's up with web site? These (1130cc) people seem to be comprised of a bunch of a$$ holes. " quoted in entirety - I might be blonde, but I am not dumb - that's bashing! lol....the other posts are because people caught wind.............
We seem to be having a little board war going on here. I want you all to review the rules at HDF https://www.hdforums.com/rules.asp Look closely at #3 and #7. I don't own a Vrod so I really don't know anything abut the other forum. I'm sure there is a lot more information on them over there since the site is dedicated to Vrods. That makes sense. We are not going to continue to bash that forum and members from another forum are not going to continue to come here to bash this one. If you don't like it here don't come here and tell us about it. Just stay at your forum and be thankful that you have such a great place to hang out. We had this same thing come up awhile back and we worked through it. Do I need to lock this thread or are we about done here?
