Default Make new V-rod LOUDER

Interested in making my new V-Rod louder without changing the PIPES, is there anything that can be done? Also, if done will that void warrenty?

here's one that has been drilled.
Didn't remove cans.
1. Removed end caps.
2. Drilled 4 holes in the top baffle. 2 on the upper half, 2 on the lower half. Came in at an angle from the outside to drill them with a 1/2 inch (for metal) drill bit.
3. Did the same thing to the 2nd (lower) exhaust baffle.
4. Started up bike.
5. I think I'm in heaven.
6. Placed endcaps back on the exhaust.

Mine are Vmodded, with a PC111- but this is the way I'd go if I went back to stock exhaust.

Did it and it made a world of difference. Lost the chrome end caps though but it was worth it!

Since your other question has been answered I'll comment on this. YES it will void your warranty, but only the exhaust portion of it. If your wheel bearings fail you're covered. If your neck bearings fail and God forbid you go down, you're covered and so should the other damages you and the bike sustain (after a fight with H-D I'm sure). If your exhaust valve gets too hot and warps, you're probably not.

Most folks buy another set of cans off e-bay for $50 and keep the originals. Just a thought!

And that's what I'd do. I bought the 16s but kept the stockers just in case I needed them to put back on. The likelihood of damage to the exhaust system is slim to none but I wanted to mention it so you're aware.

I have an '06 Harley Street Rode VSCR and talked to several people and bike mechanics and all agree to go with 2 into 1 pipes, after market open breather and get it duno tuned and put on a power commander or some other tuner. I personally went with the 2 into 1 D&D Pipes, screamin eagle breatther and power commander dyno tuned, and WOW!! I couldnt be happier, LOTS Louder and more than that , a TON more power across the entire power band, LOVING IT!!

My customiser performed his magic on my bike. Removed anything from inside my Night Rods exhausts that kills noice (noise?sound?).
Also removed the cat and the bike got so loud my ears hurt under the helmet (a pretty quiet helmet) I actually had to install mufflers again.

LOL Well the D&D Pipes are not quite that loud but just obnoxious enough to be fun
