I'm sure this has been addressed, but I couldn't find it.
I have a 2005 VRSCA with security and a run/turn/brake module.
I am changing to LED's for the rear turn signals and I'm having some questions. I purchased a Badlands Load Equalizer III and was reading through the instructions but they do not address if you have a run/turn/brake module. I fired off an e-mail to Badlands but didn't receive a response. So I called them and the person I spoke withsaid that the Load Equalizer III is not compatible with the Harley run/turn/brake module and if I returned the Load Equalizer III with an additional $35 they would send me an Illuminator. When I looked at their tech page, it indicates that if you have a run/turn/brake module you have to use the Load equalizer III due to "melt down" issues. It does not mention any compatibiltiy issues.
Does anybody know whether this a real issue or are they still upset with Harley for "copying their run/turn/brake module" and just trying to make a buck.
I can't help you with the BadLands product. I use a Biketronics Smart Equilizer on my bike with LED's Front and rear. If you are just using LED's in the rear, Some folks have said they dont require an equilizer. The only way to know is to try it and see if you get fast blinking indicating an open ciruit after 4 cycles.
