The fuel guages on all the bikes are off and have been off since day one. Before 07 they used a float type sensor on the 3.7 gal tank. These tended to varnish over time and had to be cleaned. In 07 they went to a sonar sensor with the 5 gal tank and either these things tend to read ghost echoes or can't handle an odd shaped tank but they read all over the place. Geneally everyone just uses the odo. I still think that a resistor would fix the problem. I get 32 miles per gal or around 150 per tank.

I've also dropped the bike on the right side, and pined myself under it. No real harm to the bike however, but embarassing waiting till someone can come by and lift it off you.

I start looking for gas at 150 miles, most I've ever had to put in was 4.6 gallons, and that was at 161... I had a day at the track in that tank too...

The loest i got has been 34 . before breakin i averaged 36.5 . it really depends on speed and how hard you ride it . after breakin and just a long steady cruise i got 42mpg that has been the best. the same day giong home and pushing it a little i got 39 mph .

I start to sweat if I get over 75 miles on a tank as I have the smaller tank on my '02. I've found when my gas gauge is pinned at E, I haveabout 1gallon left. I figure I get about mid to low 30s as far as mpgs go on average.
