I know how you feel. my bike was less than 1 month old and the speedo was fogged up and had moisture inside on the glass. i was normal have a good day. now speedo has residue from the moisture on inside of the glass. what deal for 20,000 bike. harley is making happy customers. Are things moving back to the AMF days???
Sorry to hear about your problems. I don't think Harley service is worth anything. My local dealer make me feel like they did me a favor to sell me a bike, so why should I expect them to do anything else right. As far as your speedo, I would try a hair dryer to try and clear it. If that does not work, you could take it apart to dry it. Good luck...
Even if you dry it out with the hairdryer, it'll fog up again.
If it's still under the factory warranty it should be covered, tell them you're conserned because you can't tell has fast you're going.........
My 08 had the same problem with the cloudy instrument glass. It cannot be cleaned off, it is a anti fog coating they put on the inside of the glass, they put it on too thick and it dries cloudy. I thought it was water spots on the outside of the glass from where the dealer washed it.
Once I got it home I found the real problem, I took it back to the dealer and they replaced the entire cluster under warranty. They will replace it if you hound them, its their screw up.
Find a stain.
Dealers don't set the rules the MoCo does.
Fogging gauges can't be warrantied but stains can. Look hard there may be a stain Hint Hint
Seat sewn crooked? How so? Is it something obvious to the average person? How long have you had the bike? Did you buy it from the dealer you filed the complaint with?
Did you ask nice?
