Sat on a V-rod muscle the other day, seems like a very sweet bike, nice curves, embedded turn signals, much wider air box than previous v rods, thick handlebars are awesome, very disappointed when it came to riding position, this bike was made for a very short stature person, the padding in the seat at your lower back pushes the rider forward, felt as if my crotch was on the tank, also a higher riding position than my 08 nightrod spec. Love the rear fender, shows off the super tire in the back. I am 6'2" and was not comfy on it at all. Think I will stick with my bike, same powerplant and much lower riding position, but wouldn't mind at all integrating some of HD's parts from this bike into mine. Of course this is just my opinion
I also like the intergrated tail light and turn signals. I think the 240 tire looks goofy, it is too wide and does not provide anything to the riger other than looks. I also like the dual exhaust. I'm with you I'll keep my bike, a guy where I work just picked up a black one last week.
I have always thought the V rod was great Motorcycle but have never cared for the little rounded turtle looking air cleaner cover. The new design of the Muscle is Great! Now the bike looks as hot as it is. I would like to have mid controls however, I understand that is not available on the Muscle.
DX ergonomic? I thought they were all about looks!
Just kidding. I don't like forward control bikes. I suppose I'll have to keep my ugly little turtle-back 06 Night Rod. It will be getting one of the aftermarket 5 gallon tanks and Arnott air ride soon. After riding a DX and an AW, I'm really happy with my 180 rear tire.
The muscle has some neat items, like the flip out plate holder, I want one for my Crossbones. The one thing I dont like is the fenders, they remind me of toe nails everytime I look at them, they are too squared off.
