The Night Rod (D) is not the same and the Night Rod Special (DX). Neither are the same as the Street Rod (R).
The R is the best handling for sport style riding.
The D is the most comfortable and second only to the R in handling.
The DX has forward controls and drag bars. Only you can decide if that is comfortable. The DX is however claimed to be the best looking V-rod.
I do happen to know where there is a brand new 2006 R. It's in Georgia. Might even still be some in Arizona.
Nice break down Cody. I agree completely. Even though the 'R' isn't made anymore, there are still a couple NEW on the showroom floor. You can get 2 of them here in Toledo, OH.
