Yeah Marcus,

That's a mean looking helmet! I love the look... kinda has the "Assassin" feel to it!

I'm just afraid it would be way to claustrophobic for city drive, not to mention the heat... Oh well, my brain's already fried anyways [8D]

RJ164, could you spell out what LEO means for a fellow canadian? We got all sorts of pretty names for our dear friends up here (mostly in french though), but I never heard this one... As for tickets, I'm pretty sure it goes the same here, in the process of getting more info about that...

Finally ordered an acc extended half natural carbon Helmet... Will see about getting a flip or full face for longer / colder runs as I go along. Think i'll also get one of those Wiley x sg-1 goggles, there's a ton of these on e-bay for around 30-40 bucks...

Hey qball, thanks for spelling out LEO for me, although I did finally figure it out on my own... I'm such a genius!

Thank you all for your input, much appreciated!

The only thing I don't like about it is the visor is clear and not black like the picture shows. Oh well.

Hey Terry,

Followed your advice and got a second Helmet... A Nolan Flip n-102 flat black. Looks great, very comfortable and the flip is such a cool feature

Got good bargain too at http://www.imotorcyclestore.com ! 200$... Hard to beat!

Thanks for the lead Terry caus ethese Helmets are not distributed in Canada and would have never found out about them.

Cheers!

Hi Guys!!

I'm a noob to this forum and still waiting on my V-ROD A from the dealer's... I have at least another 3 weeks to go and I'm kinda going nuts with anticipation here (and also apprehension I have to admit). So to take my mind off of things, I'm hunting for the best gear in the mean time!

I was wondering what you guys would suggest for a helmet? Full face or Half Helmet? What about hose modular thingies?? I will mostly ride in the city but of course I will also take it out on the highway for some trips. Should I get two helmets; one for city one for higway? $$$$

If you have any specific suggestion (brand/model), please...

Thanks!!

Go to the "OFF TOPIC" area and click on "Helmet saves life" and click on ******'s attachment, it should give you some idea on what kind to at least consider. I met Rusty (******) a few months ago, real stand up guy, tough as nails and is a seasoned rider. After seeing what happened to his helmet from a low speed, face first crash, I have started wearing my FF, It's a H-D brand called defiance, made by AGV. Just something to consider. The V-Rod is a sport/cruiser type bike, but it shouldn't matter and who cares if it's "not in the imiage" of a H-D rider. I see alot of bagger riders wearing FF. It your choice, just pick a good DOT that fits well, shorty or FF.
