I am HIGHLY considering purchasing a VROD next year taking advantage of my sporty upgrade deal. So far I am leaning towards the 'Muscle'. I have taken this bike out for (4) demo rides. I really like the model overall.
However I wanted to understand if there are any new bars or risers that allow you to adjust the handlebar position?
Thank you for the information. I apologize if this is considered a "Skimmer" post. I was not able to really find what I was looking for with a general Google search and I am least serious about being an owner.
UPDATE: Since I last posted I have found some good information. This company Ghost Rider Customs http://www.grcustoms.com/shop/index.php?cPath=1 is currently working on a new bar setup. I emailed them today and they are making progress. They are suppose to email me back soon on the finish timeline. They mentioned they will have a number if different bars. Very cool...
Go to 1130cc.com under VRSCF forum. There's a guy who used 1 inch spacers to raise the bars. When I took my handlebars off I measured that you can go up as high as 1.75 - 2 inches of spacers and not over stretch the wires and cables, but you do need longer 10mm bolts. This will pull the handlebars a few inches towards you for a more comfy reach.
The only trouble is finding spacers. I've seen chromed axle spacers that will look good up front.
The spaces are not the only way. Over at 1130cc.com there are 2 different risers. One that just raises the bars and one that raises and brings them toward you. Really check out 1130cc you will find all the info you need and then some.
Go to 1130cc.com - there are two guys making different types of risers for the muscle. one is a simple riser that raises the bars up to 1.75". The other is a combo pullback and lift. I am using the latter, it is AWESOME! You retain the stock bars yet wind up with a greatly improved riding comfort and position. You'll find both of these guys in the VRSCF (Muscle) forum.

Check out www.budmanriser.com This is the pullback riser being sold for the V-Rod muscle that allows you to keep your stock handlebars... I have this on my bike. This is the same that was discussed above from the 1130cc forum. The guy has a website now.
The ghost rider customs site say's the bars are welded and need to be replaced with tubular bars.. this is not the case. They are cast bars yes, but are bolted on. The above riser works good and no other mods have to be done to the bike to make it fit.. Just FYI..
