Yeah I read some of his problems. Sounds like to me he just got a lemon. Sucks that the HD dealer crapped out on him. My bike has been nothing but stellar and I am very pleased with it!
so tell me all about it. i ordered an 04 VRSC-A and i cann't wait I am in Iraq for now. I'll be home in jan and take delivery in february. i am so excited that i cann't stand it. i have pics of the bike next to pics of my wife and daughter. i am more excited about this purchase than i was when i closed on my house. i got a nice deal and still it was more than i ever spent on a car. i have really jumped in feet first and now that someday have always talked about is february 1st
You are going to be very satistied with your V-Rod. The bike is a venture on Harley Davidsons part and ahead of it's time (for Harley). The water cooling makes the V-Rod a High Tech engine in that there is so much latitude with the performance - (it is good in all running phases since it is at a stabilized running temperature). The frame is very rigid and Harley gave it ample suspension for either rough riding or street cruising.
One of the major sportscar manufacturing companys had much input in the design of Harley's V-Rod and with all to the utmost good. The bike was given some grueling tests that most bikes would totally fail, including the Dyna that I ride.
I came very close to making the purchase of a V-Rod myself and still may. It is definitely a very desirable machine. Enjoy yours and ride safely - it's a lot of performance on two wheels.

It was Porsche as a matter of fact...
....at least that's what I was taught when we were learning the history of the bikes at the HD dealership.
NO ****! well that is interesting the more i post the more i learn. i know it is fairly new for harley and i have heard that alot of the "purist" or "real bikers" don't like the v rod, but i am pretty damned excited
well my wife wants one of these critters too (vrod) and i just am not liking it too much, its a nice ride and i enjoyed riding it (i got to take it on a test ride) but it just doesn't fit my eye. it really goes when you give it a twist so do be careful untill you settle in on it. good luck to you and enjoy it!
