Default V Rod Sound

I can sell my Rocker now and thinking about NightRod. I realy like Nightrod. Only thing i am totally dissapointed is sound, i mean it sounds like **** compare to my Rocker with Big radius VH pipes. I checked some videos but the sound is just horible. Obviously i understand that its totally different engine so can not sound like my softail. Anyway, any advice what kind of exhaust can get close to my current Rocker sound? Such shame they dont make it with softail engine......

The V&H 2-1 Comp' pipes sound very tuff, esp' on a Sprintex 'charged bike !

also vmodded pipes are very popular with a deep note. The version 2's are a little quieter but still with good sound.

I got a new 2011 DX with the V&H competition series 2-1 really nice sound not very loud cruising but get loud when you hit the throttle. Those and the supertrapps offer the most performance for the DX. You will probably need a tuner with this exhaust.

Anytime you change exhaust you need to have a tuner since you are leaning out the bike more than it already is. To not put a tuner on is just asking for trouble.

As far as i am informed you dont need tuner if you change only exhaust. But you need it for sure if you also change intake. I installed PCV on my bike after i changed pipes and intake.

Yeah but just changing the exhaust just gets you to want more mods. You may be able to just change the exhaust but if you do anything else the tuner is a have to have to get the most of the mods. If I changed the exhaust I would just do the basic stage 1 mods. If he gets the tuner he can add more mods and not have to run back to the dealer if he gets a tuner with the auto tune feature. The bike will run alot better with more mods and the tuner.

Mines a 02 A model I'm a bit of an exhaust *****, I'm putting together a V-Mod Powerline setup. Here's a set of D&D slip on's on my bike sound is pretty much what it sounds like.
