Going Saturday (7/23/11) to pick up my first vrod. Want do you think

Yes, I did pick up the bike. Have not ridden it very much, maybe 100 miles.

very nice, i just bought one a week ago, put 100 miles on so far. im kinda on the fence about selling. i bought it becasue it was a great deal, and i had just sold my 99 dyna.

any info on how that bad boy was lowered? it look freaking amazing!

youre gonna like it. its like a Porsche on two wheels. I have an 03 and a Road King. The v rod is just plain fun tyo ride

I seem to remember the early V-Rods having a design that bent the lower part of the frame or broke engine cases when the bike was dropped. I think it was the foot peg that did it.

I can personally offer a +1 to that comment. I remember just barely laying it down once, and I ended up snapping the footpeg right off the right hand side at the weld point. Fortunately, the frame is modular. I was able to just replace that one small piece of the frame, and it just bolted right into place.
