Have visited this forum several times over the years for answers to a few technical or wrenching questions, and thought it was time to officially join in. I've been riding since i was 16, starting on a Honda 305 SuperHawk, and rode metric bikes for a dozen years until growing family and work obligations made me stop.
I rejoined the riding community 15 years ago after our kids were in college, and bought a 1200 Sportster Custom as my first Harley. I updated to a 2003 Fatboy, and a 2006 Ultra Classic, putting on about 10-12K miles each year. My current bike is a 2011 Fatboy, which has been modified for touring into a Screaming Eagle "FatGlide" with Quadzilla fairing, touring seat, bags, and SE Stage 1 and 2 upgrades.
I've been active in several local HOG chapters and American Legion Riders as a Safety Officer and Road Captain. Since I'm retired and live in a rural area, every day is a great day to ride! I'll look forward to more active participation in this forum.
