New Guy here not new to Harleys or riding but just got my first big twin. 1994 ultra classic electra glide. Got a couple questions bout it I may have to ask in another area but I will take a chance and ask here. What is the PIT switch on the left handle bar and I have a cruise issue. It works intermittently, like a switch is not making back. Brake lights are turning off so I think it may be clutch switch anyone know a location?
Welcome to the H-D Forums from Idaho ! ENJOY !
PTT is for the CB transmit & manual intercom. I never have seen a PIT switch.
The clutch switch is under the clutch lever at the pivot area. Also very fragile. be careful with it. The hand brake switch is at the pivot area of the right hand controls. Also very fragile ! If you remove either assemblies use a 1/8" drill bit to space the lever away from the switch to prevent damage.
Both switches will cancel the cruse.
PTT prolly is what it says... No wonder I could not find anything on it. I believe my cruise problem is with the clutch but weather has been to bad to ride enough to catch a pattern to it. Thanks for the great info.
