Cruiser Convert
Hey all, new to HDforums but have been around forums for a long time...always an excellent source of information. Hope I'll be able to contribute as much as I have learned in the few short days I've owned my SG.
I've been riding sportbikes for the last 10 years and figured it was time for a change. Found a great deal on an 07 Street Glide so jumped on it.
I sold my 2009 ZX6R a few months ago...after riding the SG (only about 50 miles so far) I wish I would've made the change much sooner. Right now she's down for a SE compensator/allballs starter clutch install (got the hot start grinding and 'clunky' start/shutdown after the first couple short trips around town).
My other bike currently is a 1983 Honda GL1100 Goldwing that I've modified with fuel injection, turbo, etc. Also down at the moment working on installing head studs and copper head gaskets.
I hope to have the SG back up and running by the middle of next week, as I'm also installing new rotors,pads,grips,levers, and a new windscreen.
Also recently brought back to life a 1977 GL1000 for my dad from a pile of parts I picked up for free.
