I am new to the HD scene and have been eyeing a few bikes in my area. My real reason for joining the forum is to gather information to make an informed decision on a specific bike. The one I am eyeing is a V-rod that is supposedly a Dale Earnhardt Edition bike. I have looked all over online and can't find anything about Harley ever making a Dale Earnhardt Edition anything. I need to know if this is a legit special edition before i even consider this purchase. Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated. Beyond that bike i have been on crotch rockets for the last 8 years and am looking to (maybe) swap over to cruisers. I figure the V-rod would be a good transition bike for me.
I don't remember HD doing anything like that. I seem to recall Paul Yaffe (or one of the west coast builders) did an Earnhardt theme bike that used a HD motor and I think Screaming Eagle parts in the early 2000s. Not sure exactly what year.
