As with most online forums this where the initial intros are made. Funny, it's usually just the admins and a couple of regulars who really take notice of these posts. Enough, dribble...
I'm Bruce from CT and over several years I've lurked and read some good info here. I've had street bikes without interruption for just over 36 years and currently have two I ride regularly from the Motor Company.
The '07 XL1200R (purchased when new) is set up with Progressive suspenders front & rear, Avon Venoms, Mustang wide touring seat, oil cooler and a few other doodads that pop right off for that elemental naked feeling. The stage 1 kit with remap and dyno tune done at the 1000 mile service made the difference I was looking for. She's at about 70 rwhp & 74 torque.
My touring bike is the '09 Ultra that replaced my old Aspencade. After well more than 20 years on a Wing for touring and nearly the last 5 without a proper bagger, I decided the frame and other changes made to the 2009 HD baggers to present were right for me. Having test ridden about everything in that HD offers in its touring line, incl the CVO's I couldn't pass on this sweet low milage Ultra when my buddy offered it to me. My wife prefers the flashy paint schemes and some do appeal to me but subdued pearl blue is growing on me.
Hope to learn more good info here and I might even have something to offer if the topic is right.
Lastly my screen name is one I am used to using elsewhere. The exception being an HD model specific forum where I have another tag.
