Hello guys 1st HD
Hey gang . I Just got my first HD, and I am a new member on these fine forums. I am the proud new owner of a 2004 heritage softail. I have been the market for a hd for a good long time. I was looking on the local craigs list and happen to see a bike I pass by every morning on the way to work, posted up for sale. So I had to go talk the the nice fellow and see what I could find out. The gent had been having health problems and could no longer ride so we made a deal. I am the third owner of this fine 2004 Heritage. 37k miles, Vance big radius black pipes, Crane ignition, screaming eagle parts a plenty. I have been fortunate enough to be able to put a few miles on the old girl in the last few days. No long trips yet. I haven't had a m endorsement for about 10 years so it is learning a new bike and getting my legs back under me. there are only a few things I am wanting to improve in the near future. I want either a new wind shield or I have been thinking of doing a detachable batwing. I also want some replacement saddlebags. I like the look of the leather and studs, but the ones on the bike are a little sun dried. Also I looking for some people in northwest Louisiana that might want to get together and do some Sunday runs through the hills. Are there any riding clubs that I am not aware of in the area?
