Hey fellow Harley owners.
I'm an old guy, been riding since the mid '60's have owned several bikes over the years, most recently a 2003 Triumph America and a 2005 Speedmaster. Had an '82 FXRC back in the early '90's.
Just found and bought a '97 FXDS Convertible from the original owner. only has 6,900 original miles. Been in storage since 2008. He put over $5,000 worth of chrome on the bike then began loosing feeling in his hands and feet. Couldn't ride any longer. I took the bike to Dallas Harley for a full complete 25 point service. The service writer, the mechanic, the Head of the service dept, and a salesman were all drooling over the bike when I went to pick it up. The sales dept even offered me more than I paid for it on trade-in. I declined.
The bike is pristine, never been down, and beautiful. It is a smokey silver grey metallic with black tank sides. Every part and piece taken off by the original owner I got in 3 big boxes of parts. Quite a deal.
As soon as the weather breaks below 100* I plan to put some serious miles on my new toy. In the mean time I'm cleaning, making changes to suit me, and fabricating custom pieces to enhance this sleek, clean lines of my extremely low miles Dyna. Have already found answers to several of my questions and concerns regarding my first Dyna. Glad to be part of the group.
