OK...I've wanted a Harley all my life, will be turning 50 in August, just got over a heart condition...figured if not now, When!?...have had the same Honda (I know what your thinking) for 30 years (a CB 750 4)...just bought a new 2007 Road King Classic (Black) 2 days ago...and now it won't run![:@] The thought it is it's the fuel pump. It's Saturday...the dealer can't get to it till next week....arrrggghhh.
I am not a happy camper, but do not want to lose that Harley feeling (it's slippin fast)...I can't believe this....anyone else with any thoughts.....?
Sorry you're having a problem, but if you ride this bike 30 years, you'll have forgotten the turbulence around the first week of ownership. I really sympathize. I'd be eaten up and angsty if it was me, but I'd know deep down inside that this is just the start of the relationship with my bike and it'll get left behind in the twisties down the road. (I know, heart condition probably flags type A personality which doesn't like "take it easy" as an answer.)
Welcome from Dallas. Once you get it running, let us know what the problem was so that maybe it will help members with issues in the future. Good luck and make sure that you give that bike a fair chance. Once it is running, you will have so much fun that this first lost weekend will not even matter. Congrats on your new bike.
Thanks for the posts guys...and yes, I did check the run switch...as a matter of fact, that sweet noise of the EFI fuel pump just didn't/doesn't happen...and, the heart condition is hereditary.
Guess I'll just have to drink all weekend and look at it.
