Hey everyone,
Right now, I don't own a motorcycle. But don't hate me! In fact, I've never even ridden one, but I recently came up with the idea that a motorcycle would be a cooler (and cheaper) alternative to a car that would eat my money up. I'm a student for the time being, so I don't have a lot of money but I would like to get a motorcycle in a couple of months. For now, I'm trying to get some info on bikes because I don't know jack-squat when it comes to riding and motorcycles. Harleys seem pretty cool so I signed up here to learn and get real people's opinions on the important stuff that I know nothing about. I guess there's a first time for everything huh? Lookin' forward to gettin' to know ya'll through the forum. Over and out.

Honestly? If you don't have a lot of money you are probably in the wrong place. Harleys are the best but you are going to pay for them. More than twice as much in some cases.
Yeah, I know Harleys can get real expensive, but I've seen a couple of late 90's 883 Sportsters for $4,000-6,000. That would be perfect, but the other question is, are those good bikes for new riders?
Hey scrawford,
I'm actually from Ft. Wayne. That's where my family lives, but right now, I'm out in the boonies of Idaho trying to get a degree.
Go Hoosiers!!
If you can pick up a late model 90's Sportster, that would be an IDEAL bike to learn on. Light weight, handles good, and fun to ride. Just my two sheckles,,,,,,
